So much for that
Apparently I told a friend of mine (Bil) that I wanted to blog more this year. Well, this post will mark my second of the new year. Whatever.
What's new? I'm now actively looking for a PT job. So far I've applied at Borders and Barnes & Noble. I'd really like to work at a bookstore because I like books. Plus that employee discount would be sweet. Oh I can see it now...surrounded by stacks of books waiting to be ravaged by yours truly. But I have to hired first. I have yet to here back from wither bookseller. If I don't hear back from either of them within the next couple of days, I'll have to move on to other lines of work. I may have to get used to asking "regular of decaf" again. Not that there's anything wrong with that; it's just that I've been there and done that.
Stay tuned.

I've worked at a bookstore twice in my life. It's decent. Pay's not spectacular, and you end up spending money you should be saving on books cause there are so so many good ones. Borders Group is pretty good to their employees from personal experience. This is a hard time of year to get hired in retail though, just past the holiday help layoffs. Don't be suprised if you don't hear back from them.
